It is our intention that the greater part of Outward Bound Center for Peacebuilding (OBCP) programs will be done in partnership with licensed Outward Bound Centers around the world, thus leveraging the Centers’ regional experience and working knowledge of risk management and safety systems. In countries or regions where no Outward Bound Center exists, we will seek to contract with a licensed Outward Bound Center to implement the expedition component of our programming.
Prior to working with an OBI school we will conduct an internal New Program Plan (NPP) that will outline the course location and objectives, participants, itinerary, hazards, safety and risk management systems, staffing, equipment, medical screening and logistics. Our Risk Management Committee will then review and make recommendations to staff regarding the plan before it is implemented.
