Over 120 alums, supporters, Board members, staff, and friends gathered on May 5th at The New York Times Building for Outward Bound Peacebuilding’s Annual Cocktail Benefit. It was a lovely evening filled with inspiring stories and great music. We welcomed three creative and courageous alumnae: Rana Salman and Noa Vax from our Palestinian and Israeli Emerging Leaders Program and Claire Umubyeyi from our Practicum on Experiential Peacebuilding Program, who joined us from Bethlehem, Tel Aviv, and Kigali, as well as the 2014 Outward Bound Peacebuilding Ambassador Suzanne Al Houby, the first Arab woman and the first Palestinian to summit Mount Everest.
With your help, the Benefit raised over $55,000. This amount will give 11 new Israeli and Palestinian leaders the opportunity to participate in the 2015 Palestinian – Israeli Emerging Leaders Program that will focus on leaders in the field of education.
